Valerio Meucci ha avviato la sua attività nel campo delle fibre nobili più di trent’anni fa mantenendo in tutto questo tempo un rapporto di stretta collaborazione con Pino Alvigini, con lui anche in Alpha Tops fin dal 1978, anno di fondazione della società.

Oggi Prato è vista come uno dei più importanti mercati per le fibre nobili, campo in cui Valerio è indiscusso esperto e leader. Matteo Meucci, suo figlio, è entrato in società nel 1988 e da allora ha ulteriormente allargato l’attività nel campo dei filati, in particolare quelli prodotti con fibre nobili, che producono localmente e che vengono forniti a molti importanti lanifici italiani.

Valerio Meucci started an agency in speciality fibres over 30 years ago and throughout this period has been closely associated with Pino Alvigini in Biella and has worked with  ALPHA TOPS since it was formed back in 1978.

Today Prato, situated very close to Florence, is regarded as one of the most important markets for speciality fibres and Valerio is an undisputed expert and market leader in this field.   Matteo Meucci, his son, joined in 1988 and expanded the business further, taking them into the field of yarns particularly those made from speciality fibres which they produce locally and supply to many important Italian weavers.
