There was extremely good competition from all buyers on today’s sale helped by the
weakening ZAR which traded 6% weaker against the USD and 2% against the Euro. Also
contributing greatly to the general increase in prices is the fact that the season is coming to
an abrupt end with limited quantities of mohair being offered on the remaining auctions.

There were some extremely good clips on offer which reached prices well above the market
averages.

We quote the market as follows in Rand terms.

Kids up to 5% dearer.

Young Goats 5% – 7.5% dearer with certain lots up to 15% dearer.

Adults up to 3% dearer.

The next sale will be held on 29 May 2012 where approximately 75,000 kg will be on offer.
