L’Italia, e l’area di Biella in particolare, è il più importante produttore al mondo di tessuti di qualità,ed è quindi per Alpha Tops un’area di vitale importanza.

L’ufficio è gestito dalla famiglia Alvigini, diretto da Luca Alvigini, seguito da vicino dal padre Pier Giuseppe Alvigini (Pino). Pino lavora da oltre 60 anni nel campo tessile ed è stato il primo ad importare alpaca direttamente dal Perú alla fine degli anni 50. Per questo la gente del posto lo ha soprannominato “sig. Alpaca”. Luca Alvigini ha studiato legge ed è entrato nella Società all’inizio degli anni ’80. Oltre ad occuparsi dei clienti della zona, segue attivamente l’acquisto di fibre nobili, in particolare alpaca e cashmere, per le quali, come suo padre, ha maturato una grande passione.

Italy, and particularly the Biella area, is the most important producer of high quality textiles and therefore a vital area for ALPHA TOPS. 

The office is run by the Alvigini family, headed by Luca Alvigini, closely seconded by his father Pier Giuseppe (Pino). Pino has worked for over 60 years in textiles and actually was one of the first people to import Alpaca directly into Italy from Peru in the late 50`s.  As such it is of no surprise that people locally refer to him as 'Mister Alpaca'.  Luca Alvigini, studied law and joined the company in the early 80's.  Besides looking after the area's customers, he actively follows the trading in all speciality fibres especially Alpaca and Cashmere, for which, much like his father, he also has developed a strong passion.
